The Bear River Coalition is comprised of conservationists, waterfowl hunters, anglers, farmers, ranchers, fiscal conservatives, industries, tribes and concerned individuals working to ensure the Bear River and the remarkable Great Salt Lake will be around for future generations.
The Coalition is lead by Utah Rivers Council, a 501(c)3 non-profit based in Salt Lake City. Utah Rivers Council formed the original Bear River Coalition in 1999 that fought for and passed legislation in 2002 removing the 2 best dam sites from the Bear River Development Act. The legislation delayed the project 15 years and demonstrates the success we can have when we work together.
The Bear River Coalition is a force for good and is dedicated to stopping the Bear River Water Grab once and for all, no matter how long it takes.
